Hoping someone can clarify.

I plan to take the comfort access option but not the wireless charging option.

In such a case will there be a NFC enabled tray (where the wireless charging tray is usually located) to enable use of the digital key card/NFC card? Or without the wireless charging option ticked I lose the digital key card/NFC key card functionality...

I believe you can still have the NFC function without wireless charging (could be wrong though). I've read on other threads where some had this and were retrofitting with an aftermarket or even OEM wireless charging pad.

You should be able to use the Digital Key even without Wireless charging tray. In this case there is no full pad for charging but the compartment is divided into two parts. On the left you have the NFC reader for Digital Key and on the right there is just a place to keep misc. stuff. See the picture below

Confused because in manual the screenshot you give is described as smartphone tray without thermo cup holder...

Yeah, correct. It was picture just for reference, layout changes accordingly to the heated cupholders option (forgot about those).
But the bottom line is that you should be still able to use the Digital Key even without wireless charging.
