MyBMW app, all good? Nope

I live in Alaska where it has been -30°f all week. My car refuses to remote start 🙄 and now it's giving me this message. However the app tells me it's "all good" is that normal??

When the battery is low some remote functions are turned off, perhaps it is low enough that the updates for the app are off.

IIRC, the app doesn’t update either. I had the same experience as the OP on a very, very cold day last winter here in Massachusetts.

I had the same issue here a week or two ago when it was -36C. App said all good but car would not remote start. Charged the battery and all was good. I'm not sure the app looks at battery voltage relative to remote starting, maybe only to starting the vehicle normally.

do we know exactly what "ALL GOOD" encompasses other than that already seen in the app (doors and windows status, tire pressures, etc)?

It should reflect Check Control error messages. When I had one it showed on the App.

You didn't connect the charger to the battery did you? you need to use the starting aid terminals under the hood.

I sure did, just followed a random YouTube video.
I now know how to do it and the car is fine. First car in more than 20 years that needs a battery charger!

There are some bad videos out there. So you don't have any electrical issues or harm the battery use the starting aid terminals under the hood.
