Well, it seems people who bought past year models are trying to discredit the new one, just to justify their own choice One of the reasons I have waited for the new model (for about a year), is to have the upgraded interior which I like very much. It looks modern and streamlined. And the more modern a car, the more functions it have. Bring all new features to physical buttons, and you will have full scale keyboard on the dashboard It is time to get used to touch screen, voice commands and gestures, or stay with past generations cars until they last.

Why would any manufacturer listen to the public, the only way to get them to listen would be to stop buying their cars but that isn't going to happen.

Well maybe BMW doesn't listen to our market. A sales person once said that BMW is focussing on upcoming economies and the Asian market.

I agree. They are trying to pimp it up.

MB do that with their cars too but there is a balance and sense of elegance there.

BMW had that until 2023 and now, its slowly fading away.

I hate it. Why do I need that? To remind by passengers that we are in a X5?? I mean this is beyond tacky. Audi has the word QUATTRO on the passenger side which lights up. I am ok with that because its a signature thing for Audi on my RS7.

So people having different opinions is 'discredit?' That's not what discredit means. Are you justifying things you maybe dislike or aren't so crazy about in the new design as 'futuristic' and just accept it, and any opinion to the contrary is now considered 'discredit' in your opinion? Which, of course you're entitled to...

Do not like it, all these lines that changes angle looks random and messy. The M-version looks better but not good. Maybe if they would have skipped all the lines and just had an illuminated ”X5” it would have been better? But still don’t get it.

If I didn't have a 2020 thats perfectly adequate, I would be happy with an LCI. But as my 2020 still does its job, no reason to change just yet.

Had the more subtle m performance alcantara stitching on the dash in my 335i, and I liked the way that one looked, fit the car well.

Haven't seen one of those yet, but maybe it will look better in person. I am sure one will get used to it after a while and the more reasons to look at the road ahead.

I sat in a 7 series at the dealership. You can probably turn it off entirely, but the 7 I sat in had ambient lighting configured to be much more nuanced.

It was a nice pale blue color, blended in well with the interior.
