Yeah I think you must be mistaken on point 1 on the adjustable 2nd row backrest. That's a vehicle hard point, and it's not something they can just put in or take out easily, as a lot of other things would end up changing in the floor plan / layout because of that. I'm shocked the G05 doesn't have reclining 2nd row seats. It's really nice to do that on long haul trips, but my Suburban is our long-hauler not the G05, so not a huge deal for us.

Yes I am fully aware but sure it could have been designed to allow the kick open in US, by there I assume you mean here (US).

There meaning NA (North America). There are a few theories as to why they haven't, most regulations and safety related, but of course BMW would never release the real reason.

2. The rear door handles no longer have comfort access sensors - all my X5's have, like for 15 years, the older X3's didn't, my 2022 X3M did and yet the X5 now doesn't. Very annoying if you want to throw something in the back when locked as you have to go to the front or take out the key. Yes I know it has auto unlock on approach but auto lock unlock annoys me as it locks in my garage and then I can't go out to the car to grab something inside my garage without a key.
3. As per above, why not have a rule to not auto lock by location - it has a feature to roll your windows down based on location which is useless to me, disabling auto lock though in my garage would be handier!
4. Gesture control - thanks for adding that so I can turn it off - maybe someone likes it but I can't understand why - maybe I talk to much with my hands, but it is just annoying and dumb.
5. Not letting me turn off ASS - the acronym is accurate, thanks for not letting me disable it.

7. The lower tailgate close button is still in an annoying place so when you lean into the trunk to get stuff you push the button and it tries to kill you or spills your coffee you set on the tailgate - I guess I didn't complain enough to get that fixed.

9. As with my 2019 why do they black out everything with the m-sport package and not give you a black grill? I dont' want msport pro and I don't like the light up grill but it looks so out of plae in chrome, so $300 bucks later it will be fixed I guess.
10. HUD doesn't work very well with my polarized glasses.
1. If I remember correctly, if pre LCI has 3rd row, this is possible. Without 3rd row, you're stuck with it.
2&3. That sucks! Tesla allows you to add exception for auto lock/sentry. BMW should be able to do this. Hopefully one day OTA update will do it.
4. I think the only gesture I used is going home. But I turned it off because when I tried to reach my mugs, it mis-read my hand movement.
5. Definitely hate not having this. You can try Sport Individual to bypass it. Can we set it up to remember last drive mode?
7. Yes. It got me quite often. I had to learn not to stand there.
9. Same here. Wife doesn't want red calipers. Is $300 the cost for the black grill? Not bad. I will replace it. I remember paying close to 200 for pre LCI. Are these easy to remove like pre LCI?
10. This is always an issue. Try changing the position may help.

It's good to know. Does anyone know why? I thought pre LCI and LCI are identical.

Just perception I guess, they are identical from everything we have seen.

The grill is easy to use if you are comfortable doing that sort of thing. The only trick is to be very careful with the camera. You'll need to barely pull the grill forward enough to dislodge the camera so you dont pull the wiring out.

I agree with all your points.

I would love to take over UX for BMW's software team. Whomever has that job now is spending more time playing video games than doing their job.

Anyone know what the take rate is on the hitch? You have to wonder if it's just bean counting.
