22” Tire Size

Before anyone comments, I did search and read the threads that are already out there pertaining to 22 inch tires.

I bought a set of Rusch wheels that were delivered over the weekend. In a 295/30/22 front and 315/30/22 rear, the only option I see are the Pirelli’s. However, the rears are not available.

In a 285/30/22 front and 315/30/22 rear, the Michelin’s are an option. However, I don’t know how I feel about going narrower in the front.

That leaves 295/30/22 and 335/25/22. The only option I can find there is the Toyo Proxes STiii all season tires.

Is there anything other size(s) I am missing? I am leaning towards the Toyo’s but haven’t bought anything yet. Any opinion’s on the Toyo’s?

Thanks!

Have you looked at the Arroyo all season's? There is a thread about them.

I have not. If I go the all season route I’d probably go with the Toyo’s. They aren’t expensive coming in around $1k for all 4 tires.

I think some of the folks with the Rusch wheels are running Lionhart LH-Tens in the 295/30 : 335/25 config. I used them on my Trackhawk and they were decent but certainly don't compare to Michelins.

The main tradeoff is that they're an all season tire and handled the summer and light snow just fine so I didn't need a winter setup. Heavy rain is where they lacked a bit but for the most part I was comfortable running them year round on my Trackhawk. They're also very inexpensive so you could change them every year if you wanted and still spend less than a set of Michelins or Pirellis. Inexpensive doesn't translate to "cheap" though and a lot of my Trackhawk friends still use them.

I've also been considering some Rusch wheels but was leaning more towards the 285/30 : 335/25 config. so I can run the Michelins since I'll have a winter set with my OEMs. If I wanted an all season I'd be fine running the Lionharts again though.

I believe Nitto may make them in the sizes you're looking for as well (model NT420V?) but I have no experience with them so I can't comment. I just came across them when doing my own research.

I’ve read a lot about the Lionhart’s. I’m in Chicago and I do have a dedicated winter set on the OEM 809 wheels. I’m in Chicago so we do get snow but the roads are usually paved within a few hours. I can go all season if they would handle the snow ok.

I thought about the Michelins in the 285 up front, but I don’t know if I want to go with a narrower tire. If I do, then the Rusch wheels would be my warm weather set up and I can keep the winter set I have now.

I am running 285/35/22 up front and 315/30/22 rear on Pirelli Winter 2 - 295/30 were not available in tire.

I ended up going 295/30/22 in the front and 335/25/22 for the rear.
