Just push the M button. It goes off and stays off until you hit the M button again. I always drive with the M button activated set to the 2 on the transmission; sport plus engine; sport steering.

apparently the starters have been built more robust to handle this feature, however my vote is off, its annoying.

I just use it manually...you can even configure any of the M buttons for On/Off modes

In most cases, I come to a full stop when the system is turned off. If the light is Red and I know its going to be a long one I turn the system On to shut off the ignition.

It's not perfect, somewhat hybrid use...

Never like the dang feature...it's always off. Even on rentals...
