Recommended Driving Mode During Break-In Period
So, I am still in the break-in period, at about 600 miles. I'm interested in what mode you all used for your break-in period. I have everything set to efficient/comfort. This is my first BMW so still new to a few things. In the M1/M2 Settings thread I see the mention of D* for Transmission and S* for shifts. I believe the S* is for the three buttons on the shifter to affect shifting times but I'm not sure what D* is for transmission. Excuse my ignorance lol.

D mode is auto, where the car shifts up and down itself.
S is where you can shift with the paddles or gear shifter, and if you don't shift you'll hit the limiter. you can still shift with the paddles in D mode and it just reverts back automatically. In S mode it will hold the gears until you shift. hope this helps.
