Would be nice if they offered them in hyper silver or something other than orbit grey or gloss black.

BMW recommends a set of 808M 21" for F95

https://www.shopbmwusa.com/product/1...EEL---TIRE-SET

If not possible, what's the real reason - different offset of 20" 611M or they just won't clear the calipers?
The biggest reason is that the hub size and bolt pattern are different from F series to G series. F95 is built on G series CLAR platform.

just order a set of Pirelli scorpion performance winters for the X5MC factory 21/22" wheels. they have them in stock with 2 year road hazard. $1750 for all four . ($352/F and $499/R)

if you're not looking to buy rims too, I'd move on these before they run out of stock. I looked around and tirerack had the cheapest price by far.

I thought about going this route but was waiting to hear back about the cost to switch them out. This way seems to be a more "spread out your payments" sort of approach. My SA hit me back, saying it will cost $400 for a complete rotation of tires and do that two times a year, you can do the math. Over a few years (lease), we have esentially met the cost of just purchasing the wheel/tire package outright—however, a great way to approach winter setup without throwing 4-5K in one shot. There are other variables that I'm not taking into account as these are subjective. The time it takes to switch them out (time is money for some) and the additional cost to switch from one wheel set to another (negligible but relevant).

personally, I like seeing the car with the same rims year round. it's an M car and that why I picked it. it won't look as good for almost half the year with a winter rim package. I live in MA so snows go on usually by mid October and come off in April.

I understand your point on the hassle, and cost of swapping tires. however, unless you're swapping rims in your garage, the same hassle applies. $400 for a tire swap and balance is absurd. there are plenty of reputable tire shops that can do the same service for less. I've been swapping winter tires on high performance cars for a long time and never had issues at my tire shop. just some food for thought.

Totally get it and agree that the F95 looks better with it's OEM shoes on for sure. I love the way it looks in my driveway 😍. I'm a bit north of you and just don't want the salt all over the wheels, sounds like you will be spraying your wheels off more often then not to keep the salt from doing it's work against the finish I hope 😊. I also agree that the $400 rotation cost is a bit high, I think the place down the road from me would do it for $50 a wheel which lessens the blow for sure. Once you get yours swapped out for sure let me know your thoughts of the performance once the cold stuff hits. I always thought you wanted a skinny tire in the winter so I'm curious how that 310 in the rear performs.

BMW 21" double-spoke style 808M orbit grey
F: 36112471521 $2,197.64/set
R: 36112471522 $2,529.42/set
Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 SUV 295/35R21 107V, rim size 10.5Jx21

Unfortunately these won't be available until the fall.
Thank you for posting this information. I bought these wheels on Thursday for my vehicle and the pricing you had was less than my dealer so they price matched it.

I appreciate you taking the time to post this, it was valuable for me and made my life easier.

Winter wheel/tire options for F95 X5M and F96 X6M?

Hey Nick — many thx for confirming that this winter package worked for you.

Question: the package description includes the advisory: "for Front Axle only" — did you experience any clearance problems with your rears?

N.B. The factory supplied 809M wheel widths are: 10.5/11.5-inch F/R —while the quoted winter package 808M wheels are: 10.5-inch.

Best Regards,

Rich

You're welcome! That's what makes this forum so fantastic!

Did you order them or actually pick them up? I ordered mine a few weeks ago, but I thought they weren't available yet.

There are two different sets one for the front and one for the back. If you look at the one I said thank you to, it has two different sets.

Thanks,

Nick

I ordered them on Thursday of this week and they are supposed to be available for me to pick up on Monday. I will be having them mounted the first week of November so I will let you guys know. Apparently there is a guide at the dealership parts department that lists the X5M comp and what wheels you need for winters and these were on the list and matched his list provided by BMW.

I got these last year for my X6, and I never had winter tires on anything I've driven. A tremendous difference even over all season. I have the 21" summer performance, and once the temp drops they are pretty tough to stick to the road. My wife's G05 (not pictured here) has the 20" all season, and compared to these winter tires there is a big difference too. Now I need a set for her X5.

winter wheels

I currently have a 2011 X5M with 20 inch wheels, I bought a set of winter wheels that were a whole size smaller (19) so I could get better winter tires. So far, I have not been able to get an answer if I can do the same thing with the new X5M Comp (2021) that is on order. Ideally, I would like to buy a set of 20 inch wheels and not have different sizes for the front and back. Like my 2011. Anyone have any additional information?

Different offsets.

Noushy
True, different offsets, but my F85 oem winter setup was able to work with F15 without an issue. The question is are the hubs the same size G05 and F95?
So what do you guys think is it possible to you M808 wheel on G05?

From what I understand the 21" 808Ms are the OEM winter wheel set-up for the F95/6. They come from BMW with Alpin 5's.

I have also seen 809M and 818Ms (the standard comp wheels in 21/22") with winter tyres but the tyres aren't BMW Branded and are Hankook's as it looks as though they are the only one's making Winters in the 315/30/22 size. Edit: There are also some Pirelli's in that size!

Not sure a 20" wheel will fit the front calipers but you never know!

I'm absolutely sure that it's impossible to use 20 inch wheels on X5M

Very nice tyres, I have two winter experience on wife’s Panny with this Michelin.
But what about 295 size on rear wheels ? It seems to Be to much narrow for X5M
