2021 X5m Competition

Just picked up the new X5m today. It was supposed to be a test drive day between few different SUV's but X5m was just that good. I also drove the X7 M50i and it was a great suv but wasn't much different in feel to our current X5. I guess that's a good thing. We bought our current X5 50i when they first launched in late 2018 and it's been very good.

X5m is just full of excitement, looks amazing in person. I had been looking into getting this for some time now but hadn't looked at one in person let alone driven one. This is mainly for my wife and 3 young kids.

I've driven it just a little today and it feels good. Planted... Fast... It's surprisingly fast. Feels completely different than our 19 X5 50i.

It is nice. I am actually very surprised about how different it feels. I am also happy that they made it more sporty and not give into the pressure and soften it too much.

Dealer has its privilege. If they need it for saloon or for reporters, they lock allocation for themselves.

I've always had light interiors on my BMW's and its never been an issue.
I've got an X6M currently on order with Ivory White / Night Blue leather.
I wasn't sure how the night blue would look as i would prefer black but it looks ok on yours.

I had my mind set on Marina bay blue exterior and sakhir orange interior. I really didn't want black as we had black on our existing 50i and I wanted to differentiate this suv as much as we could.

Dealer had this one in stock and it looked great. I would've never considered it until I saw it in person. Beautiful interior.

Welcome to the "beast" cult elitex ! It's such a difference between the N63 to S63, as I made the jump from a 2015 X5 50i m sport with DHP to a 2018 X5M, WOW!

Congrats on a great looking build!! MBB is stunning!!

My future F95 comp will also be a MBB with beige/black/aluminum hex. Less than 4 months left on the current X5M lease.

One you go M, there is no going back, as I don't even bother to test drive, just e-mail my sales manger the replacement build specs when I'm five months remaining until lease end.

You're so right about M and non M. When we bought the X5 50i, M wasn't available. Out of 9 BMWs I've owned, only 2 were non M. Both times M model wasn't available at that time for the model I was interested in.

My wife was hooked on M cars when I bought her an F10 M5 as her daily back in 2013. I've been a big fan since E46 M3 launch.

Just a follow up.

This suv is phenomenal. Took it to the mountains and it was amazing. it's like my brain couldn't process what was happening. You expect an SUV to behave a certain way and this SUV just carved those corners like a sports sedan. Crazy.

Yes you feel the weight but it does an amazing job trying to hide it. I guess all the bracing and active roll is doing it's job.
