Is there a link to 93 or 91 octane pump gas time splits?
I'm waiting to see some heavy track users take that setup to do 30 min x 6 of hot lapping before forming an opinion on the setup. I like the trap speeds but a few 1/4 mile passes isn't what I'm most interested in |

The seats delete accounts for 1.5s and 20 mph.

I have to clarify something here having owned multiple bmw's and audi's... Audi does not built per say weekend track cars nor is that anywhere in their mission statement. They build fantastic GT cars as well as daily drivers. Their RS models are meant to be the most capable street cars but nowhere do they state or show these cars as being meant for track duty... BMW M does state, show and market their cars as occasional track cars, there is no doubt about that. BMW M also has the sufficient braking, cooling and and overall durability of parts to back that up as being worthy of a car that can be used on a track.
Take for example the following; Audi S3 and Audi RS3 BMW 340i and BMW M3 Can anyone tell me the component differences between option 1 and option 2? I'll tell you then, the difference between the Audis is a different / more powerful engine, slight suspension tweaks and software work. The wheel setup, magride, tires, haldex diff, tranny are virtually the same less a few tweaks to be able to support an extra 100 HP. Can you tell me the difference between the 340i and M3? I can... engine, transmission, cooling, brakes, axles, wheels, tires, solid rear subframe and a completely different chassis code. The point is Audi differentiates their cars on a street level which is why this car is such great value however on any track it would get mowed by an M3... CanAutM3 can be free to correct me as he owns both, but thats basically what it comes down to... not to take anything away from Audi, the S3 and RS3 are fantastic vehicles in their own right. |

If you do not need 4 doors (especially guys coming from the F82/M4) and can justify the extra $10K. I would HIGHLY suggest getting the TTRS, if you're looking for crazy acceleration, traction, exclusivity.
The TTRS is roughly 300lbs lighter and has a much nicer interior, from the seats to the steering wheel directly from the current R8. Has a shorter wheelbase and overall a more "sportier" car. The TTRS is also more exclusive and rarer at this point and you won't see them everywhere like the M/AMG counterparts. I already ran two STOCK 2017 GTR's (one was a buddies and the other a guy I met at a car meet). The TTRS only got pulled by *half a car length from 40-115 and 60-120. We were basically neck and neck until we started getting deeper into triple digits. With a simple stage 1 tune, we are talking high 10s @126-129MPH traps. Not even going to mention how hard the TTRS pulled on the GT350. These 2.5L 5 cylinders are the real deal. You do not feel the "thrust" of the motor. However, with the lightweight, the car really MOVES out. I cannot say enough good things when it comes to the performance of this car. I will admit, it's a lot more boring to drive than the F80, Hellcat and GT350. I do miss the more RAW feel of the F80.
