Rear Axle Seals Leaking
Vehicle was in for oil change and 55-point inspection at the dealer today. They found a leak in the real axle seal on the left, looks like the right is starting to leak also. Got quoted $1400 CAD for the work. Anyone tell me how critical this issue is? Vehicle has 58,000km.

Do you see any signs of said leak on the pumpkin .
Is it weeping or leaking. I'd spray it down, clean it and verify it is indeed leaking. It it's just weeping, I'd monitor it and top off as needed. Could wait until a Cv boot goes bad and take the opportunity to get it done as well if you're keeping it for awhile.. |

So many baby X5's I am seeing that have pretty big issues, my n55 x3 must have been the pinnacle of the brands quality. Might go for something a bit more reliable in the future, maybe its time to ditch all the features and buy an old ass wagon from the 90's
