No that was me, i debadged it and put the black X6 badge on the other side because I like it over there. All of my saloons and coupes have had the model on that side and I'm just used to it. It doesn't look normal to me on the other side and i don't need the 40ixdrive badge so I had free choice of where to put the X6 badge.

It all makes sense... with you being on the southern hemisphere and all. I'm sure pics from the US/Europe look upside down to you.

Now that I have finally done that, I would be interested in your views... Mine (arrives in a couple of weeks) will be visually identical to the above - same colour, same body kit, rims, window tints, shadowline features. However, I am playing around with whether I keep the grille silver, as given everything else on the car will be blue / black, the dominant silver grille may have a visual 'pop' factor... I also have the iconic grille as part of this (which the local garage tell me they can keep in working order despite it being blacked out - counted to what i read elsewhere).
So, the question is, black grille or keep it silver. thoughts? |

Also, you will have to black out the badges all around and paint the rear difusor yourself, they don't come with the car I suppose... |

Final question from me. When you pop the car on, an image of the vehicle is displayed. Now, if like me, you have messed around with the car in terms of changing the colour of the grill, or gettting a shadowline arrangement on the rims, the image displayed of the car will not reflect its current reality. The OCD within wont like this :-)
BMW says that this cant be changed as its a factory setting, but I cant believe this as its just an image that is controlled by a computer which needs to be updated... anyone had any luck with this? |

Congratulations! Looks Awesome!
I love the all black look. I have the same theme on my X5. I'll be putting on my 22 742 black wheels on soon as weather here in New England improves. Going to black out the badges as well. |
