Thanks guys for all your input, I also found this clip comparing the two Eisenmann versions to stock.
The conclusion I have come to is Eisenmann Race with 90 mm angle cut tips.... |

The 102mm need angle cut because they are so large. I find it stupid that Eisenmann offers angle cut on 90mm and not on 102mm.

The eisenmann exhaust tend to stick out from the back of the car. If you look at a car with Eisenmann 102mm from the side, it looks like there is a huge piece of metal hanging off the back. The angle cut tailors the metal so it doesn't stick out too much from the line of the bumper. This way you see the tips, but not too much pipe. Looks cleaner.
Wth 90mm this is less of an issue because tips are smaller. Unfortunately eisenmann only offers angle cut on 90mm.

A little bigger if angle cut would be better, but the 90mm look a lot better than the 102mm straight cut Eisenmann.
To me the ideal tip would be 100mm angle cut (like Akrapovic). The straight cut tips stick out from the line of the bumper quite a bit, and to have giant coffee can sized tips sticking out that much takes away from the conservative tasteful design of the M5.

My understanding is that the tips themselves are not adjustable. I personally don't care for the look of the tips protruding from the rear fascia. I like an OEM placement with larger diameter.

Yes, you can slide the mufflers some to adjust how far the tips stick out.
