Lots if good stuff coming out across the board from all manufacturers! The X4&6 just have not grown on me, but to each their own. Thankfully, they make other cars that have! I dig the new X5! Even the "stock" models are great. Fun enough to drive but great for the everyday grind. The M is a true beast of a power plant! I only wish two things really. Bigger front brakes - they just don't look like they fill up the wheel very well. I like big brakes and I do not lie 🎼... Not sure if it's just not getting picked up on in the photos. That happens!
The second is the price. Starting well over 100k... Just not sure about that. First of all, it's outta my league so, I'm out 😂. But secondly, for BMW, not sure they will get the same play as the competition in that price point. I feel people don't really see BMW so much as $100k+ SUV worthy. I feel at that price buyers will gravitate toward more exotic options, even just for the sake of justification in spending that much money. I think if they kept the X3M in the 70's and started this in the 90's... I think the M8, at a much higher price might out-sell it... Just my 2 cents, which are on sale for free today and probably only worth half of that...

I know I'm in the minority on this forum but I'm not a great fan of Wagons. Growing up in Europe I got an overdose of them, all the sales reps in Italy have one. Hatchbacks and coupes are way more attractive IMHO. I wish we had more hot hatch options here in the US.

The X5 just doesnt have the same effect the F85 did over the F15.

[QUOTE=AwesomeM3;25486030]I love the Marina Bay Blue with Silverstone interior!

I absolutely love the MBB. I am 100% sold on that exterior color for the X5 M Comp and totally agree that the SS interior looks super-cool in the pics. However, after seeing the SS leather in person at a dealership last week (albeit in a different seat design on the M8), I've decided to go with safe-and-boring full black...just don't want to worry about upkeep (with kids, dog, jeans, etc.). I wish the SS appeared more gray than off-white in person. First world problems for sure...I'll make it.

Dealers in Dallas are still in the dark on the timing of allocations for build slots, other than the usual "expecting them any day". Suffice to say I'm completely obsessed at this point.

love how BMW made it more aggressive but I'd rather see an Alpina XB5 personally. Don't get me wrong I like the X5M Comp quite a bit, I simply prefer Alpina's version any day of the week when offered.

Tartufo is the way to go, I love that brown it's elegant and understated yet not boring and awful like black

Thanks. Yea, I really like Tartofo and would seriously consider it but I don’t believe it is an option for the X5 M (or comp version) per the build sheet that’s out. Tartufo is only available on the 2019 X5 50i (and maybe the 2020 X5 M50i too...but don’t recall off the top).

you're right but Taruma Brown is and that color is also quite nice vs black. M50i does get Tartufo

The aerodynamics of the F96 look so good for it being a heavy vehicle. It's going to be awhile until I order one but man I'm excited right now!

I just pulled Taruma Brown up on the UK configurator and you’re right - looks very nice. However, I didn’t think it looked nearly as good on the MBB car in the pics that showed up in all the news releases on 10/1 (pretty sure that was Taruma).

I noticed you have Tartufo in yours (nice build by the way...love CB and would have definitely gone with that if they didn’t offer MBB on the full M). How does Tartufo compare to Taruma - lighter, darker, browner? Wish I could see it in person.

Thanks for your help. You may have noticed I just posted today for the first time...felt like a bit of a stalker over the last couple weeks while reading literally every thread I can on the X5 M Comp.

That brown isn't nice though. Reminds me of baby poo.

My favourite was always donnington with sakhir

it does look really good with blue I can promise (my opinion of course). Brown + Blue always looks good

I prefer Tartufo but it's not offered. Silverstone is also really nice

Taruma is lighter more like a middle man between Cognac and Tartufo. it's a bit lighter than Tartufo from what I recall but I haven't seen it in person in a while.

thank you, ideally I would've gone Ametrin Metallic or Tanzinite Blue but I wasn't going to wait 4months + longer than my build which was already delayed. I sorta do the same thing except I always post

it IS a great color.. but these photos are highly processed it seems.

I've seen an MBB M340 a number of times and it doesn't pop OUTSIDE IN THE SUN like the photos of this model INSIDE.

Not feeling the rims at all on either model and wheel gaps look larger than normal. Perhaps its pic angle. X5M over the 6, IMO, but I'm sure they'll both be beasts.
