What are my options for high quality music for B&W?

I've gone for the B&W system in my new 45e. I've already read that the best is to have FLAC files on a USB stick and I'll have some...but I also really like streaming apps.

Currently using Spotify but just started a test of Deezer and Tidal, which offer higher quality. Assuming I like one of them, should I use wireless Apple Carplay or connect by cable?

Thanks!

I've been doing Ultra HD on amazon over airplay, can definitely tell a difference between normal amazon/HD/Ultra HD/SiriusXM. It seems like there is a more defined soundstage with the Ultra HD. I have not tried FLAC yet.

Good question. I wonder if connecting the phone with a cable is feasible and indeed gives you better quality versus wireless. I still wonder if the phone-car connection is bluetooth only or Wifi (or both). WiFi can transmit more data than bluetooth.

I have the B&W audio pack, must say it is wonderful for a mass produced car audio system. I love Tidal have for years, I found a program AudFree. It allows me to create playlist in tidal then have the program save the songs in what ever format and bitrate I want. Using a 256gb USB mini stick I have about 3k songs from tidal.

the USB stick with FLAC really dose sound great for a mass produced system.

So you are transferring song from Tidal to a USB drive?
I though Tidal was a streaming service.

How about using the integrated Spotify App in iDrive 7?
In theory will bypass all bluetooth transmission, You are only limited by the band-with given by spotify, which is not bad.

We're discussing this elsewhere as well, but ... how does this work, can you show pics, etc? As of 11/2019.40 in Canada, I have Spotify and Connected Audio options listed and turned on in Media/Personalize Menu settings, but nothing for Spotify or Connected Audio actually in the Media menu. How does one use this?
