Car's WiFi cause losing Phone internet
If my Samsung Android phone is connected to the car via the car's WiFi , so I can use screen mirroring, then my phone is no longer connected to the LTE internet! I don't think my phone can be connected via WiFi and also have LTE data.
That would be a huge flaw because I wouldn't be able to stay online and watch my online video. Does this mean that while my phone is connected to CAR, I won't get my email? How to fix this?

You are correct. The only solution I am aware of is to purchase a data subscription for the vehicle's hotspot.
There are other posts on here about people's experiences and the cost for different countries. That is assuming you are in a country where such packages are available. For example, you cannot at this time get such a package in Australia. |

To be clear are you saying you want to connect to your car for wifi and use cellular data at the same time? I had this issue on my iPhone when connected to CarPlay, I couldn't use pandora because the phone would try to use the car Wifi for Internet access even though I didn't pay for the hotspot. This might help, on your phone, see what IP and subnet mask you get assigned by the car. write those down. Then for that connection set IP manually not DHCP. Put the address and subnet mask (255.255.... #) DO NOT put the Default Gateway. With no default gateway your phone will only send data addressed on the same network as the car. Anything else will get routed to the cellular data.

I don’t have this issue. I’m not on android though. I’m on AT&T and have an IPhone. When connected to the car through CarPlay (WiFi) I get internet access through the cellular antenna.
