Pre-conditioning
Now the weather has turned colder, I've been trying to set this up and don't seem to have managed it yet!
I've used the digital key to set the departure time and to activate it, but so far, no discernible difference when we get in the car. Any ideas what I need to do? I presume this is actually possible on my car (a UK 30D msport)? Or does it only really work when it's very cold? |

Yours could be different (due to country or 30d) so this may not apply. Does your engine start? If not, there is a setting, I think under Climate, that needs to be checked in order for the engine to start for preconditioning.

Yep, in UK it just turns on the fan with no heat. We can’t done have remote start or aux heating anymore and I really, really miss it now it’s getting colder. I’d have aux heating over the stupid sky lounge any day!!!

Didn’t realise this until I bought mine, just assumed like most high end cars now, you’d be able to remote start, pre-heat/cool. Major let down.
The app and the fancy key are a complete farce in the UK. Really disappointed with the lack of remote functionality. |

Agreed, what is the point of the big key. No remote start, no remote parking, no aux heating. Why do they bother to include it I've used mine once and now it's tucked away somewhere.

only thing id recommend at this time of the year in the UK is going out, starting the car, set the seats and temp, get out and lock it using the door handle touch.
you'll hear 2 beeps from the horn and that's it secure. go into the house and drink your tea and go out to it in 5 mins!
