Good news...
M Performance Exhaust released

Part # 18302458780 - first released in Germany Dec 2018.

Was told by BMW Parts dept - they are coming to North America (Canada & US) early Jan of next year.

I believe M50i exhaust is still the M Sport Exhaust

M performance is much louder and different than 50i. I loved it on my f15

my bad it's the M Sport exhuast on the 50i not the M Performance one. what's the price on th exhaust? I'm interested if it's comparable to aftermarket ones.

I found it. But it's 3k.....my old f15 MPE was $1250. Quite expensive tbh

Do you guys have BMW install it? I know some people do it on their own, but wasn't sure if BMW would have a hissy fit for going on your own.

Is this avail for the M50i? While loud, i'd like it louder but OEM loud. I had a Dinan stage 1 perf exhaust on my X6 years ago, but my F15 M Perf exhaust i had was so sweet. I want that back for my M50i

No exhaust for 50i.

Part will not be available until Jan of 2020 (that’s why u can’t search it yet but BMW can) - call your local BMW - give them this part number - they should be able to reserve it for you to install so you will be the first ones to get it

In some European videos, the Msport exhaust didn’t make much of a difference in noise on the 40i.

I have the Msport exhaust and sounds awesome when put into sport-mode. Whether its from speaker, exhaust or both, it sounds great to me. The valve's stay open. Hit the accelerator and sounds great. Even when its downshifting sounds awesome.
