Got the update, install was pretty smooth.

I’ve read the release notes, including the link to the BMW site. I cannot for the life of me find anything meaningful or clearly improved.

Glad that it went smoothly though.

Can you share the link with the release notes. I recently got my car and it came with 11/2023.50 already.

You are lucky to have a 2023 version. BMW is not prioritizing iD7.

I did the upgrade last night. No issues.

The EV to ICE lag on the 50e is still there, in case anyone was curious.
It's only when you just stomp it from a cruise. if you feather into an acceleration it does fine. this is in hybrid mode of course.
in sport mode its a slight lag, barely noticeable but noticeable.

It is a 5k lb vehicle after all, but once its moving it fracking move.

I wonder if it is to protect the drivetrain. With pregearing there is effectively 450nm torque from the electric and 450 nm from the ice if you were to brake torque it to 1750rpm, you would have 900 nm of torque. The advertised max is 700 so I think they must limit it

The update is still MIA for me after being first available over a week ago.

I'm thinking maybe there was something in it that wasn't approved for Canadian market?

I'm already on 11/2023.30 so this update won't really offer anything new for me.

I could never get the 11.2023 update to load or install on my 2023 X5. Still at 03.2023. It's a shame they view iD7 as "old" when I ordered it last spring a week or two before they started building the 2024's.

Mine has been updated to 2023. 11 by dealer, built at same time as yours.

I believe TB mentioned that the 3-2023 is the latest OTA update available for ID7 in the US.

I got the 11/2023 upgrade yesterday and it suddenly made my combined range make far more sense, or at least look better to me in a "marketing" sense. I had been getting <400 miles with both a full battery and full gas tank on the previous OTA upgrade (7/2023?). I now see just shy of 500 miles.

In last month, I switched from driving mostly in sport mode (to break in engine) to mostly in hybrid mode. Maybe the mpg counter reset with the update? And the previous few months are no longer held against me? Or is there a new way to calculate range?

Just ignore those numbers, the update wipes out the history so you will see things come back to normal. The range is based on your last 18 or so miles of driving and does not predict what you will get unless you always drive the same as those 18 miles.

I also did my update last night, and had no issues. It did have to reconnect to my phone and it reset the default widget I use. But other than that, all seems good. I don’t need to go anywhere today (Sunday), but I’m going to go for a short trip today so that my first post-update drive isn’t when I try to leave for work Monday am.🤞

The way BMW charges their batteries, a long trip will likely NOT result in a fully charged battery. The logic only charges it when it is excessively low, or when you're coasting or applying the brakes, and likely not to 100%.

I just got the notification for my X5. Doesn't seem to contain any noteworthy improvements. I also spotted a "Cancel Upgrade" option in the MyBMW app! Considering that installing updates generally tends to wipe out custom coding, A.S.S being the recent victim of that, unless there's something really impressive about this update, I am tempted to cancel it. Anyone got any feedback post installation? I'm on iDrive 7 for my 2021 X5.

The upgrade has been downloaded to my phone for the Pre LCI X6, here in Toronto. Will attempt the upgrade in next couple of days.

Update: Upgrade went smooth and took about 15 minutes to complete. .

I am running 3.2023.67 on my 2022 M50i and am still able to use Bimmercode for ASS.
Do you code ASS out and if so does Bimmercode still work?
