I got updated to .45 and I don't see car care or experience modes. It's amazing how bad BMW is with software and related features

How do I subscribe to personal digital assistant? I went out to the Connected Drive website but I don’t see that option.

You should be already since a four year subscription comes with the X5 in at least the US. On the website it is called the Connected Package Professional.

So I just got the X5 back and they installed 03/2019.45. I was told they couldn't install the Experience Mode or Caring Car. They are aware of the issue and the Connected Drive team will be issuing OTA updates to rectify some of the X5's like mine. Apparently there is a batch of cars going to receive this OTA by month end and my car has been scheduled to receive it.

So there you have it. We will be receiving OTA's.

Sad thing, I picked up the X5 and the Ivory White Driver's Seat had a scuff and a small tear. I'm just so mortified. This X5 has been unlucky from the get go.

I see “Connected Package Professional”. When I go to details, it tells me the requirements to have “Intelligent Personal Assistant” that includes my G05 but it is not active.

Probably should call Connected Drive customer service and have them activate it since it comes with the X5.

There is an OTA update coming. These will come in batches as I'm told. Apparently my car is on schedule to get this at the end of the month.

I called CS and was told that I am not subscribed to the IPA and that I must call my dealer.

I noticed some of the fine print says that one must have 3/2019 software that includes “Live Cockpit Pro”. Since I have 3/2019.37, it is unclear why I am missing “Live Cockpit Pro”.

Interesting! My Connected Drive portal says I have it. So we will see if once they move me from 03/2019.30 to 03/2019.45 on Friday if they show up.

Sounds like your dealer may have not processed your services agreement correctly.

You aren't missing Live Cockpit Pro, that is the instrument cluster and control display. Here is a article discussing it.

Yup. Your dealer did not activate all the service you're entitled to in the US.

Why would you even care when you are on the road, they are fairly meaningless options. If you really need to be rejuvenated, turn the A/C on max and have the wife sing to you.

Isn't the Intelligent Personal Assistant the same thing as the "Hey BMW" Function.

The preset wake word ›Hello BMW‹ can be activated and deactivated. The ›Hello BMW‹ option activates the preset and personal wake word.

Via iDrive:
