The M50i that I test drove before my order definitely has some spit and crackle off throttle. Pronounced in sport mode but still slightly there even in comfort.

Does anyone know how they accomplish this? is it unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust or is this something totally artificial?

Exhaust flaps open

As long as exhaust flaps are open you can get a mild burble.

He will gladly charge you to remotely code it. This is nothing more than him advertising his business.

So what exactly gets coded?
What are the downsides of this coding?
When the dealership does an update, will it wipe the coding?

So are you messing with exhaust flap valves? Mine are open with bimmerlink and unplugged... is coding different result?

I have absolutely no problem with you charging for something, you researched and created on your own (if that is the case). But when you participate in a forum(s) designed for members to help each other for free, it's poor etiquette to tell members to PM you when your intent is to just give them a price. Just create your own thread in the classified area or make your prices clear in your post replies. Seems like your replies on this and other forums are the same.

See forum rules.

90% of them doing the same . as for this burbles tune price is 200 usd . nothing related to flaps getting unplugged .

Sounds like the exhaust has a loose baffle in it. Not a good sound. Well maybe for a 16 year old with an old beater Civic.

Can this be coded to work in Comfort too? Also, any videos of how this sounds while driving, taking off, full throttle?
