Without this, at 32hz, your car will transport back to the past/future

Maybe its because it close enough to 33Hz - that frequency plays havoc with women you know

I vote to have many of E90Fleets' posts collected into one big fact sheet / thread.

I not only wrapped that in tin foil but I also removed my sharkfin and disabled BMW assist. Only a moron would think these devices were anything but part of Bush's master plan to enslave us all.

President e90fleet : Sir, does the removal of the sound absorber affect the exhaust note at idle (i.e. burbling) or throttle? ... what if you have an aftermarket absorber... would that give it more sound on the low end and/or high end? Sounds to me that this widget is to comply with strict Euro (and US?) drive-by noise?

Parts 6 and 7 are the items in question.

I'm calling UUC to see if they can make me up a 55Hz version.

I believe its not for the exhaust sound, but to stop a resonance ( vibration ) in the exhaust system that may arrise under specific conditions.

32 Hz is worst frequency for vibration on a six. By coincidence I have seen some modal analysis on this in Catia.

Someone asked what that device was in another post. It's probably because of that.

Correct. I saw that it was posted in october, but that had no relevance to my statement that most/all of E90Fleets posts are very benefitial to this forum...

It does not matter if you wrap anything with tinfoil, the metallic paint is a better conductor and will override these hacks.

And you thought the engineers at BMW were stupid...

Browse around the KaleCo site.. they also sell stuff like cross-drilled brake lines & synthetic blinker fluid.
