MY 21 X5 m50i.
I have noticed rather substantial shading and black margins in the birds eye view of the camera system, particularly the in front of the bumper ( see attached picture). Please confirm that it is normal and no alignment issue. When watching reviews of the X5's camera system, it appears that the NA version has that glitch/ inaccuracy. Just immediately noticeable as all my other cars have exact visualization, including the lower front bumper (curb) view. |

I noticed this on my white x7 loaner but not on my black m50i. You can see the outline of the bumper on my car. I think this is a software issue but could be related to car color?

Did you ever get this resolved?
I had my dealer do a minor change to my car, when I got it back it looks like the picture you posted. They took the car back and updated to 07/2020.45, but it still looks the same and they now claim that this is how it should be. I´m not sold on that answer, since I´m rather sure it was not like this when I got my car. |

Other models like the new 5 series have the same issue. Never had this problem in any of my other cars, just annoying when parking in a tight spot having to manually switch to the front camera as the birds eye view merely shows a black spot. |

Hi,
This is my first posting from Sweden. I had my MY21 45e at the local BMW paint shop for some minor repair that included repaint of the front bumper. After this repair I also has this issue with black or in my case gray spot in front of the car. The front camera survived the small collision and worked fine over a month and 2000 km so this is something that is a result of the repair. Any ideas if this can be fixed with calibration of the camera? |
