I have Dinan on my 2016 x6 piggybacked on top of Mppk works nice. Think BMW will offer an Mppk flash for the M50i? Anyone know if Dinan is working on something for the M50i same engine in several of the new BMW models I wonder if/when they do if it will be good for all models?
N63B44T3 engine anyone found/seen a dyno run? Curious to see !! |

DME Tuning
I reached out to DME Tuning and heard back from Lalit there that they already have a flash for the M50i but it does require a bench flash (send ecu to them) as apparently on 2020 models the odb2 is locked. I asked about performance gains and he said 100hp and 100 lb torque!

Just had my X5 50i tuned at Above and Beyond Performance LLC and Bryan and the team at DME performed the bench flash ( stage 2 ) and I must say the performance is incredible. I am completely satisfied with the car and they are giving 20% off right now for the tune. I am glad I did it for sure.

Add me to the list of curious. Intake, downpipes, and a tune are things I would be very interested in for the M50i. For me, it would be nice to get:
-- An intake solution that allows us to hear the turbos spool and obviously add a little power. With a similar platform on many BMWs, this seems like it would not be a huge project. -- Downpipes are such a nice mod for turbo guys. I think there would be a very interested crowd. -- Tune. I think I am over the piggy days. I would much rather use a flash tune that uses the sport, eco, comfort modes to toggle. I have seen some vague posts on a few tunes, but they lack before and after dynos to document power gains across the rpm range. It appears they are just randomly posting % gains then applying that to the crank numbers BMW provides. That is sketch. We really need some dynos and documentation to evaluate what is being presented. |

I'll be happy with intakes and DP to hear the turbos and a deeper growl. I think the car has more than enough power for me especially for my commute, just some sounds would be nice lol

Does anyone know if this Dinan air intake would fit the M50i engine?

So..... 710hp is impressive, but doesn't surprise me considering the platform and the increased fuel nm pressure for these models.
566 stock..... when it's "rated" at 523. That actually impressed me more. You know, I live in Belgium... I'm assuming these guys are in Germany? Anyone know where? Who are they? |

Nevermind..... I found them, and they are actually in Belgium, only about 2 hrs away.
Stg1 tune is 680 hp... from stock 530. 1390 Euros.... a little over $1500. Incidentally, I looked at some other cars they have tuned.... the F85 X5m was stovk 575hp..... but after tuning, was exactly the same at 680hp. This is very doable. I've already written them to see if there are any complications with tuning a US spec car. |
