How do you transport your bike

I don’t have the tow package and don’t want to put the bike on the roof so anyone know how else I can transport my bike.
Yes if I fold down the seats I can muscle the bike in but it’s tight.
Thanks for any advice you could give me.

You covered all the options.

The best option is the trailer hitch. Add one after market with out electrical is probably best bet. It sounds like you are talking mountain bike? Road bike inside car is fine. I prefer that but with mtn bike not only tight but lots of ways to to break or mess things up inside. Really trailer hitch with mtn bike really only viable option.

Does anyone know if an aftermarket hitch would cause any problems with the "kick under the rear to activate rear door opening"?

I ride my bike....
Towing the SUV and family with it would be hard, though.
A while ago (ok, 30 years ago) I had a Thule carrier that strapped to the top of the hatch (or cargo door) and to the bottom of the bumper and held 2 bikes. It worked really well. You had to take it off to open the trunk, but it saved me from getting a roof rack or hitch, and I used it only occasionally. I’m sure those still exist.
