I have the DM-V2's on my Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. I prefer the Michelin Ice in all aspects.

How did these end up performing? Good on ice?

The stock summer wheels are the 21" 741M w/ performance runflats. Dropping to 20" for the winter is fine but my question is if I order it from BMW direct, does it come with everything including the pressure sensors? Are the wheels/tires balanced? I assume these will be easy to swap out for the winter on my own? This will be my first X5 and any advice would be appreciated.
Did you end up ordering the wheel and tire set from BMW?

For my X40iM Sport I went with a square 21" setup with 275/40 Continental Ice Contact XTRM. Nice tires hopefully as good as the Nokian R3 SUV I had on my 2014 35d.
Used these wheels, 21 x 9.5

I went with a 20" square setup for winter. 275 45 R20 on Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV tires. Installed yesterday and dropped off summer wheels at dealership for storage.

Very nice! I am looking for winter setup as well. Seems the 20" square setup may be the way to go.

Question for all.. Looking on Tire Rack, it brings up FRONT AND REAR
Size: 20x9.5 (Factory Diameter) Offset: +22mm as an option, but the warning states "Important Note: Aggressive fit! May require fender modfication for proper fitment." Is this fit something I need to worry about?

No, shouldn't be an issue as long as you are running standard OEM size tires on the rims.

These are the rims I've gone with.
Did you purchase two different wheel sizes to get staggered, or did you buy those two different tire sizes on a square setup?

So this was a big mistake and have now gone square in rims and tires.

The previous staggered setup created a problem with the transfer case… jerking start between 1st, 2nd and third gear. Thank god we figured this out before any damage was done to the transfer case. The previous setup was staggered tires as noted on staggered rims (different offset in the rear). Now that the rims and tires are the same (square) everything is back to normal.

What were your offsets? That's interesting because the X5 in Europe you get (20x9)275/45R20 & (20x10.5)305/40R20 staggered by default. Seems odd that going to that setup the vehicle would start to freak out.

I can't recall. I just got back from Florida and took the X5 out for a spin. Something isn't right and it's not accelerating smoothly when I “gun it”. Going to get the tire shop to put on the 22” Summer set on Monday and see if there is something wrong with the winter setup or the X5.
