2021 X5 xDrive 40i Tire Rotation
Hi all,
Went to our first service and they recommended tire rotation for $120. Decided to check up on this first and have seen the following: - don't do it with run flats - do it but go front to back (dealer said do it this way) - do it but go side to side if the tires say outside on them Very confused, tried searching online and the manual but nothing concrete. Should we be rotating them and if so i assume front to back but where do you place the jack stands after you jack up using the jack pads? Any help is greatly appreciated. AJ |

The service booklet does not mention tire rotation regardless of tire type. BMW does not require nor recommend rotation.

Most tire shops local to me will do a rotate and balance for about $60. Some offer a 'lifetime' rotate and balance for about $100. The 'lifetime ' is the life of that set of tires. I usually opt for the latter as it's a good value. Gerry

I had the tires on my F15 rotated every 6K miles, and I got 45k out of a set. Just make sure they do not overtighten the lug nuts and warp the rotors
