I got a quote from https://www.autoebid.com/
I then used that as a bargaining tool with my dealer. If that had not agreed I would have bought it from them as I did a few years ago with another car. |

I have also been proposing a high spec X5 3.0d M-Sport purchase.
I was looking to order in Quarter 4 because of the finance incentive of 2.9% but there was no availability of anything near the spec I wanted. The spec I was looking at -; https://configure.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/configid/q1p8m4s9/G05 was coming out at £75k with the best incentive available via carwow being 14.3% (£10907.00) lately, I have heard of discounts of 23% being spoken, so would be interested in what dealer(s) are pushing these desirable incentives. Disappointingly, because I have selected the option of 'M' Multifunction Sport seats I cannot select Comfort Access, Front or Rear seat heating or Merino Leather factory options |

My wife has an X1 X-Line with Oyster leather and I am forever cleaning it so I am thinking black leather next time. Unfortunately, the M Mulltifinction seats Ive chosen are only available in the Vernasca leather option, when I would of much preferred the Merino leather. Still shopping around so have not pulled the trigger on an order yet. I'm even thinking of waiting for the 2nd quarter to see if there are any favourable incentives introduced by BMW. |

I guess you can wait until a quarter end and then wait for the next one.
If you really want one just go for the best deal today and then look forward to driving it! |

FYI Autoebid informed me that prices are set to increase in April.
Didnt state how much etc, so not sure if it its just a sales tactic. |

I heard the same from a couple of Dealers but they said stock thin on the ground and if you want a certain spec then it’s a factory order and will have to pay the increase as it won’t arrive till May...

I take the kids to school and the wife to work (inc pickups). Short journeys on a diesel are not that efficient. Ultimately I was heading down the full EV route, but couldn't justify a full swap to Tesla just yet. The 45e is a compromise. Allows me to use electric for the short journeys, ICE for longer journeys and when I want to hear it growl. With it being a luxury vehicle, I dont see any real tax benefit. Its not a company car so BIK doesnt affect me. |

Exactly the same sort of reasoning for me, except I am retired and make short runs to meet friends, coffee etc.
The ICE comes in handy for the long trips to France and back twice a year. I seriously considered an Audi Etron, but the the charging structure is just not there. |

I have no doubt that when the g05 is ready ti be replaced, i'll make the full leap to EV.
The offer I got was for a free installation of the charger too, so saves me spending the same amount of time as I have researching the car 😂 |

Similar ish decision making here, I do 10,000 miles a year but a lot of short journeys to the office etc.
I will get a charger installed there as well, so will be able to do my 40 mile round commute easily on full electric. Also with discounts etc the 45e for me was about £30 a month more than the same spec 30D, I will easily save that a month in petrol. As many have said I didn't want to to commit to full EV as the network just isn't ready in the UK, but I suspect this will be my last car with an ICE! |
