Taking the E9 to its first cars and coffee on Saturday morning. In-law's anniversary party on Saturday afternoon and hopefully sitting by my dad self and having a cigar Saturday night.

Sunday, the kiddos are getting baptized and then I hope to clean my garage back up.

I will probably finish up making my custom 911 address sign for the property we are in the process of buying down south, so that it is ready to be installed while we're down there for the closing next month.

I also need to install an adhesive 2m/70cm antenna onto the carbon fiber roof of my BMW i3 (aka: The Bavarian Golf Cart) now that the weather is warm, and figure out what obscure setting in my DMR radio's code plug is making it not work with the local repeaters.....

I had a slight change of plans, and actually spent an hour or so of "quality time" elbows-deep in my home wiring closet weeding out some dead cables/devices and patching the network gear together in a more logical arrangement to remove unnecessary hops. The big score was freeing up a 4-port PoE switch, which I plan to put in the basement where it will make hard-wiring three IP security cameras much easier.

Just returned from a Home Depot run, where I picked up a long cat6 patch cable for the basement run. I also picked up the mounting brackets for the 911 address sign project, which I'm also hoping to finish tomorrow...ticker willing.....

Weekends, smeekends. Hard to tell one day from the other when you're retired. Wifey (who's still working) took Friday off. That threw my mental calendar all out of whack. I can't help thinking today is Sunday now because she's been home two days.

Changed out the hot tub electrics junction box close to the tub with a replacement and built a wooden cover to mount it on to protect from the elements.

Transplanted my annuals into pots yesterday. Hoping that my contractor will show-up with a load of cedar mulch for my beds. Then probably an RTE for lunch at a local watering hole.

I completed everything on the 911 address sign except riveting the mounting brackets on yesterday. Looks awesome, if I do say so myself. Now, if we can get the closing date set for the lot it will be installed at.

With a little assistance from my electrician-in-law, I also managed to get the liberated PoE network switch hooked up in the basement and connected to the new buried network cable running out to my street-side security camera that was [barely] running on wifi up until yesterday. I pulled the power adapter from the camera and plugged in the PoE network cable...and nothing happened! After pulling the few hairs that I have left out of my head triple-checking my work, I went to check the camera specs on Amazon. Sure enough, none of this camera manufacturer's wifi security cameras support PoE on their ethernet connectors! Long story short, the options were to spend $15 for a PoE splitter box or $99 for a new/better camera with PoE (plus a 15% discount code weekend special). The new 4K (8MP) camera will be here tomorrow, and I'm sure that the extra resolution will help with reading license plates on passing cars.....

We did some eating, and some drinking.....the driving was not during the drinking.
Tiki'ed it up this weekend with some life music

and then right back to work....which, truthfully I don't mind work but could use a 4 day weekend.

Good looking car. I like that color. Isle of Man Green Metallic, yes? I looked it up. Had to know the name.

My weekend starts at 4:30 today. Just relaxing Thursday and washing my m3 and wagon. Friday, I am taking one of those up to South Carolina for a meet at the CCA museum. Sat and Sun, I just plan on relaxing, drinking, and driving the E9 a little. Not in that order.
