Has anyone compared the two side by side, APK and FI exhausts?

From my point of view the Akrapovic is too load compared to the stock exhaust

My iPhone can't record the sound as loud as in reality. Especially during the cold start, you can't hear your voice while screaming

And that's a good thing?? I want something classy loud, I'm not 16 with a heavily modded E92 drift toy.

Only during 15 seconds from cold start.

Also you are accelerating as the RPM get high the sound gets loud

I can imagine what the full system sounds like during cold starts. Just my slip on system is pretty loud already. I know someone getting the full evo system along with secondary down pipes…. Now THAT is going to be insane loud on cold starts…

One thing though Akra is loud but it’s a nice classy loud. Not that BS that most kid bmw owners has nowadays

there are apps that measure the sound in dB, can someone try that with the Akra exhaust. I think Fi showed 112dB on video

yes for sure. its hard to capture with videos and i was expecting it to sound close to stock but in reality even the slip on had a nice increase in volume but more importantly better tone than the stock comp exhaust.

I see that this thread has somewhat gone cold - I just took delivery of a 2022 x5m comp and have ordered the Akra slip-on. Intention is to have it installed after break-in period. Do any of you still have just the slip-on or have you gone full mid-pipe / DP? If so, could you share your thoughts on long time usage ? I have also opted for the sound kit but fro, reading this thread seems like it's not essential to the build. Any thoughts / impressions \would be appreciated. Thanks

I will install my full akra slip on , link pipe and secondary cat delete kit from RG sport soon after I receive my Akra , will create a post later on once install

Looks fire! I so want to pull the trigger but that price is just too crazy! Maybe after I have had my X5MC a year I will get bored with the sound and be more motivated to buy it. It sounds and looks awesome! Congrats!

I'm probably the only one who is not too thrilled with the Akrapovic. I'd have to hear it in real life. I added an Akrapovic exhaust to my 718 spyder and it was awesome.
