Powdercoated factory wheels?

I've seen some here and there. Can someone members share some photos? I'm planning to get some aftermarkets but pretty bored with the stockers, and I've seen a ton of gloss black ones on IG, all low res or videos that are low res.

I was maybe thinking even dark bronze, or even a brushed clear and go opposite of the blacked out look, and see how the wheels would look all silver/dark grey?

Currently have this style...

Personal opinion those wheels (i have the same) looks best the way they are. The two tone gives it a 3 dimensional look that you lose once you go with one solid color. I'm having trouble figuring out what i want to run as my winter setup because i think i like those more than the vossen HF5 I have.

i did my 818M's in satin black and love it!! they came two tone (gloss black / machine finish) and with DG color it was just too much of a match.. since i did Xpel stealth it was even more matching.. hence the decision to powdercoat and add some contrast. I didnt want to do gloss black as its a nightmare to keep clean, learned that from my stock F90 wheels and gloss vorsteiners i had later on the F90.. you can see some pic in the PPF thread that is floating someplace or i believe i may have posted in daily pics thread..

Great thread, looking forward to seeing some photos. I'm thinking about getting my 809s powder coated gloss black.

Thanks Ed!!! Despite massive brake dust, satin finish is super easy to clean with no residue or watermarks after the wash.. they look exactly the same as the day i had them powdercoated. I cannot say the same about gloss black, hahahah.. im not knocking on gloss black, in fact i love the look i just dont have time or nerves to deal with keeping them clean..

Can concur. I have gloss black and it's at the wash every single week cuz I can't stand looking at the dust. Pretty when clean tho.

The place i go to here in SoCal is pretty awesome.. all they do is wheel powdercoating.. you drop the car off early AM and its ready by end of the day.. $475 out the door.

on my previous vehicles ive had them for years with no issues whatsoever.. this place does everything in house; mount/dismount / sandblasting and coating, thus allowing them to turn the cars around same day.

I also have ton of friends who also go to the same place with no issues.. some powder coating places just charge too much for the same.. i.e. another place closer to me charges about $600 for 4 wheels this size, and as 99% of powderocating places they expect you to bring the wheels dismounted to them.. mounting and balance will cost an easy $100 not to mention the work and time involved to get that done.

That's a great deal. It was double that for me up here in the Bay. Ugh.

Welcome to the struggle. My MBB can't stay clean for more than 12hours. By 24-48 hours its straight up gross because the pollen mixed with rain makes it disgusting.

I have to say MBB is beautiful but the color seems to show every dirt speck on it. I guess since it pops so much it almost makes the nasty stuff pop too. Its a big change compared to all the white/grey cars i've had in the past.

Based on this morning in the very-green, lovely Long Island City, we're likely at the tail-end of this year's pollenfest.
