Excerpt from the article:

"As far as we can tell, the only things different on the outside of this Bimmer are its headlights. The lenses are the same shape compared to the current model, but they have an unrefined prototype look about them and the illumination pattern appears different."

Based on the article, these pics could be an early representation of the LCI versions of the G05 X5, as well as the G06 X6 & the F96 X6M. I'm almost certain all the current cars, including the F95, use the same exact headlight enclosures.

It does. Considering the G05 X5 has been out for 3 model years, it still seems early, however the article states that it will be released in 2022. Likely as a '23, which will at the 4-5 year mark. It's a sign of the level of competitiveness within this segment

That makes more sense. Typical lifespans have been 7-8 years, so an LCI in 4-5 years seems logical.

Has to be fake the grill is way to small.

They need to add a sunglasses compartment and a compartment for the keyfob. Also fix the buggy, bloated idrive.

Return of analog gauges would be very welcome, but unlikely to ever happen.

I'm not holding my breath, but would love if they added air suspension to the X5M. I would also like a tow hitch, but very unlikely.

I had the F86 X6M, and it had air suspension. I had a lot better ride than my F96 X6M without any compromise in handling. I don't know why they did away with it, other than cost cutting.

I don't remember the f85/6 gen having an LCI tho right? Think that entire gen only lasted 5 years.

You are right they didn’t for the last gen which was great for current owners. Hopefully LCI isn’t coming for this gen anytime soon.

Based on this pic, the LCI will offer a new instrument cluster and a new style, gear shifter.

Quite frankly, the dual screen setup looks nearly or exactly like Mercedes' hardware. The shifter looks to be copied straight from the Porsche 992's.

Although different, BMW... come on! Be innovative!
