May be depends on national market and model year. It is an option BMW has designed and built but not offered to at least US MY24. Other market may also varies.

I’ve been hearing the past 6 months IAS is not available. Not in Belgium, Germany, UK and any other European country. And now I see it on Autogefuhl on the 50e.

Yes it does.
I was able to select it in Dec 2023 when I booked it. Then after a month, I was told its not available.
My dealer said, it will be back possibly in the end 2023.
I didn't thought its worth waiting.

Referring to the question the answer is a simple YES. According to the Autogefühl presentation it is a good facelift with the only „But“ concerning the lack of buttons which can be regarded as positive or negative, depending on personal habits and usage.
And: remember it is a facelift, not a brand new model.

On the Belgian and German configurator IAS is still not available. So why does his 50e have it?

Possibly an early build that had it before they removed it?

It's based on region, some have it others don't. Same with heated cup holders.

This is Canada's configurator.

Yes but Thomas is in Germany with a European specced LCI. And IAS is not available in Germany. Not available in Europe.
We could order it the first month and months before LCI production started but IAS got deleted on all orders with it.

Agree, it's a press vehicle, they are almost always loaded with all options to get the best reactions.

Options we can’t order
But in his explanation it’s like you can order it. He doesn’t say or even doesn’t know that this is not availabe to order.

Is this a configuration for a 50e or a M60i?
We can choose IAS on M60i but not on a 50e. In Germany also only available on the M60i.

He was pretty excited in his original review on LCI in the show room couple of months ago, and it is his video which successfully attracted my attention to LCI and eventually pulled the trigger over other alternatives.

Not sure where you're getting that from. He loves the LCI seats, power, safety features, road noise, comfort, steering feel, and snappy UI. He more or less calls it the best-in-class car. Only complaints I heard were loss of HVAC buttons and still not having a ventilated phone charger.

I feel it is just a typical German vs North American vibe - being more calm in the review stating all the facts vs. shout out "this is the best car in the world passionately.

IAS? Who cares? I want the net to divide the cargo area from the passenger compartment. I was frequently using this in my 5 series touring in Europe and then was shocked to learn that this is not available in the US on X5. I do not get it why BMW does not provide this option in the US...
