Is anyone able to get a free renewal because of all the car play issues?

I have had no issues since upgrading to iOs 12.4 the other month.

Edit: After reading the post below I remembered I did have to toggle the WiFi on and off.

Using it every day with usually no issues.

Very rarely, it does not re-connect after a short break, but a quick Wifi toggle would take care of that.

If it glitches and disconnects, is it supposed to reconnect on its own? It never has for me and requires cycling the WiFi pretty much daily.

It should not disconnect for no reason in the first place.

For me, once it has connected, the connection is solid and won't disconnect until I get out of the car or turn off the car.

Like other folks on here, my connection issue has largely gone away; I did find that if it disconnects and you toggle CarPlay on/off on your phone (give it 2-3 seconds in between switching), it will reconnect and be fine. Having said that, iOS 13 with new CarPlay comes out on Sept 19th I think, with iOS 13.1 at the end of the month (think I heard that yesterday), so we could be back to square-zero...fingers crossed.

The iOS 13 beta works great with CarPlay - haven't had any issues.
