Virtual M Badge on my 2024 US X5 50e

On my BMW app, when I go into my remote camera, it shows my X5 with M badges on it. Perhaps because I have M sport trim, but they are not on the car. Which cars get the real badges (not the virtual kind)?

If I wanted them, which I don’t think I do, could the dealer get them since they show in the app (pictures below)?

I thought I read there was a difference in M badging between the cars made for the US vs Europe.

These days M badging has about as much gravitas as an "I brake for ***" bumper sticker.

The side M badges are deleted on North America vehicles (option: Without Lines Designation). They are on European vehicles.

You can order from BMW part #51148058881.

You can also get them in gloss black from IND-Distribution, part #51145A4B373.

I know Gerry said North America vehicles, but BMW Canada has jurisdiction over your market, not BMW North America

Doesn't pay to speculate on marketing decisions, there are many that will just lead to head scratching.

Have you seen the gloss black M60 badges on Ind? I can’t seem to find them.
