LCI 50e 8.5 issues or normal?

Hi
So had car 2 months and have noticed a few issues/ new programming

Firstly
The preconditioning has a mind of its own,I set it via app then when that wasn’t working I set the departure time via car, some days it works others it doesn’t? Often I get in the car in the afternoon and the precondition is on. I realise I can set the diamond button on the key to precondition, but it’s just not consistent? Any one else got this?

Secondly
The app often shows car open when it’s clearly not, I refresh the app it remains?

Thirdly
Things I find annoying
I can’t change heating or put heated seats on if reversing, if the above doesn’t work I jump in the car reverse off the drive, but can’t change any thing until moving forward , small but annoying!

Comfort access

Other than the rear door thing ( which I am used too) the comfort access sometimes just doesn’t work, I am always aware of the key and making sure it’s no where near my mobile phone.

Anyone experience this?

No. We've had the 50e for exactly 18 days. It now has 1822 miles. 😆 It had 5 miles when I bought it. I have a Samsung s22. Phone key works perfect. Climatize works everytime I click on it in the app. I've never tried to set a scheduled time.

I think they left off the rear comfort access because I bet they assumed people will use auto unlock as you approach. Which I do like, but drives me crazy when home and walking past the car.

The only issue I've had so far is... twice now the HUD fails to display map directions and the driver display the same. I've reset idrive by holding the volume button down but that doesn't fix it. After the car sits for a while, I guess the module shuts down and then when I get back in, it works again.

I've noticed our driver door is finicky at times. Sometimes it unlocks with a brush, sometimes I have to pull the handle a couple times to get it to work. There's probably a trick I just haven't figured out.
I've also noticed that sometimes the mirror don't unfold when I get in the car and I have to do it with the switch.

Thanks for replies, I wondering if it’s my new I phone 15 Pro Max! It’s also playing up.

I have deleted the diamond button on the key on preconditioning via the car, I will try again.

Comfort access, I Agree with the ‘trying the handles ‘ I always doing this, I will end up pulling the thing off !
