50e more somewhere issues help!

So after posting my 6k mile review last week the car decided to bring even more annoying glitches has anyone experience this!
So the car now has decided that it’s just won’t connect via app, to precondition and thrown up a new message, the app has updated since the 21st, I have wiped and reinstalled on iPhone.
I lost Spotif and the ability to have any traffic info or weather ,which was really annoying as I was stuck on M6 (uk) today for 4 hours and couldn’t find out what direction to take.
Any advice on this as this is really annoying.

Hi Krypttic

It could be, my Spotify has gone Nav working but no traffic up dates, my BMW app frozen on the 22/1 ! Which is your date too?

It’s charging on the cable independently of the app info as that’s frozen.

It constantly wanting my phone to join the car WiFi but fails, I wonder if it’s to do with this, going to try to remove car from the app today and reinstall, I know I lose will all the data but hey I give it a go.

It’s just a pain in the arse, if this continues I am out of this car, and possibility the brand.

So update, it’s suddenly all come back on today!
Spotify now works, RTTI working and app working along with all remote services

??? 3 days down no explanation should I still book it in with dealer?

We had a widespread breakdown on connectdrive in Canada last year. Took BMW 3 whole weeks to fix it.

UK mobile networks are in the process of decommissioning 3G spectrum, mostly starting this month. I’m sure it can’t be this but I do wonder if there is disruption as a result. I wonder which UK network BMW uses for their connectivity services.

Our X1 has 2G/3G only for it’s connected services, not looking forward to when it’s running on 2G only for data, hmmmm might have to look at some sort of upgrade.

On of the easiest tings to try when stuff doesn't seem to work right is to reboot iDrive by pressing the volume control knob in until the screen goes blank.

Is this caused by the steering wheel being on the wrong side of the car?

So update
It’s back the the rtti, Spotify not work and app frozen!
Spoken to tech who said they experiencing similar problems in other cars
I explained comfort access issues and door mirrors folding only some times,
He’s suggested hard reboot, and explained it for 70 seconds but keep the button press after screen goes blank until screen reboots!
Apparently new software coming soon!

A 'simple' reboot takes about 30-seconds but a 'hard' reboot happens on the third cycle, so you have to wait until it blanks twice before releasing.

But tech guys said software up grade package is on its way, let’s hope .
