one of the best fighting games ever... its really fast paced though. im not used to it... i only played the N64 version alot and very very little of the gamecube one.

This game is amazing! I finally got my wii & even bought the game in anticipation of it's arrival.

anyone know how to do the smash down move by mario when he's in the air? He straight up smashes the guy to the floor in mid-air...causing instant deaths if players aren't careful.

Btw, I use the gamecube controllers.

well for most characters that move would either be down + A in the air or tilting the c-stick down. hope that helps

I heard about the online play not being very reliable because so many gamers were trying to get on? Don't know though, it might depend on your area. For me, the online play works fine, but it lags a lot

lol N64 was sooo slow. melee for gamecube was definitely the fastest one imo. anybody else agree?

i love this game, my favorite charecters are ike, marth, kirby, ice climbers, and dk. this game is way more balanced and its alot faster.

Favorite has to be Lucario. Pit's recovery is straight up ridiculous.
