got this for my previous f15, it has a zipper - very convenient to keep the garage key inside facing the back side of the key (public garage). in 4 years not a single scratch, etc. looking for the same new option. any idea where to find? pls have a look at the pics.

Anyone with the BMW ones or that have the screw instead of snap-on...has the screw come loose at all? Read a couple stories of people that lost the screw and the keys fell off. I drop everything, and already have a few scratches on one of my FOBs, so definitely interested to hear feedback!

I used a drop of blue locktite on my threads. No issues at all. I love this cover and have it for both my BMW’s. It has protected my key so many times but even more important, the alcantara doesn’t let the key slip out of my pockets like with track pants. It also doesn’t let my key scratch my phone in my pocket. Like many oem BMW accessories, I think it’s a bit pricey but quality built and looks really good.

MystroX5 thanks for the information and the pictures. I am going to order up on Amazon. I like the looks of that cover...the issue I had with leather covers in the past was they would slip out and go under my seat. It was like handling a fish out of water.

You will love it. I am picky as hell with my keys and now having used this over a year, a side benefit I found that the alcantara doesn’t make any noise or rattle around when you throw it in your cup holders.
Both my X5 and M2C key fobs look brand new kept in this case.

If you want a total OCD tip: I took some suede water repellent spray and treated these cases before I put the keys in them. The cases look brand new as well. Then apply a return address sticker you would use for a letter inside the case on the light blue leather lining so when you flip the key fob out, you can see there is a return address sticker stuck to the inside. It’s a sickness but figure what the cost of a new BMW key/coding and this case and it’s not so crazy when you add up the $$$$.

IMO, all good detailers are OCD. Who else would remove the license plate to wax behind it and then wax their license plate?

Touché.. Or even remove the wheels so you can properly clean and wax the calipers and inner wheel. Every summer like clockwork.

Would you mind telling me where you purchased this silicone case? I can only seem to find ones that have a cutout for the BMW logo.

Are there any covers/cases that allow easy access to the manual key (to lock the glovebox, etc.)?

BMW makes two versions of this case. Square or triangle key fit. We use the triangle looking one. Here it is on eBay.

Manufacturer Part Number:
82 29 2 355 519

IND has it in size A and Size B. You need the Size B (triangle) for our G05.

https://ind-distribution.com/product...ntara-key-case

EBay has the oem as well.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-BMW...item3fd7cb36b7

Beware of cheap knock-offs as they will be significantly cheaper and use a cheap alcantara material. I bought one of those accidentally for like $15 and it is a POS and I use it for my spare key.
