wiper blades seems to bounce off the windshield
I turned on wipers on my new LCI for the first time and I noticed that after a few minutes it started to bounce off the windshield on its way back.. Any idea what could be going on?

First thing I'd try is a very good cleaning of the windshield...some car washes use a spray wax, and that can be a bear to clean off of glass, and cause your wipers to do weird things.

I purchased a ceramic coating for my LCI and first rain I didn’t like how my wipers were behaving. After a few rains, they settled down, which I attribute to the ceramic wearing off. Not sure I’m right but it seems plausible sixty days in.

I did do ceramic coating and did not realize it’s ill effects. How do I clean it off?

Not sure I have an answer except to say pray for more rain? Maybe someone from the coating industry can help us both.
I’d still do it again. Very happy with the overall result, ease of keeping the car clean. |

When I want to really get my glass clean, I use a random orbit buffer with a foam pad and McGuier's polish...it's fine and soft enough to not scratch, but will remove pretty much anything on the glass. 3M's glass cleaner is better than pretty much any other one I've tried, too. It gets normal grim off, but may not do much on some inadvertent coatings. I had been using RainX for decades, but switched to Aquapel as I think it works better and lasts longer, but with either of those, you really need to get the glass REALLY clean first. Griot's Garage Glass Sealant gets good reviews, but I've not tried it.
Any uneven coating on the glass can cause the wiper blades to skip. |

I use Obsessed Garage Drying Aid on our cars and over the summer the wiper chattering got so bad it was unbearable, even with two new sets of wipers including Michelin and OE BMW. I stopped spraying the Drying Aid on the windshield and the problem slowly improved over the last couple of months as it has weakened.

I do not. Mine (the drivers side) was skipping on the bottom half in both light and heavy rain.
My SA just said he saw the technician adjusting the wipers and the paperwork I received said ""Wiper Arm Adjustment". It certainly has worked. |

Yeah it tends to be the bottom half of the blade that skips most.
