Hopefully you move up. We started out being scheduled on the 8th, and got pushed up to the 6th a couple of days ago. Keep checking!

A 12/12 prod date shipping to LA… with a Christmas holiday coming up, odds will be against you. I hope it works out though for you and all the west coasters that get shipped by rail.

For reference, here’s the fastest shipment to California that I have seen posted.
Prod date - 9/17
Dispatched from factory - 9/19
Reached SoCal dealer - 10/4

Update: Someone in the week 47 build thread has a 45e headed to San Bernardino that looks like will be faster yet. 9 days since dispatch (before Thanksgiving) and the train is already in AZ.

I had an original production date of Nov 21; it was then moved up to Nov 19. However production was completed on Nov 18 (status changed to awaiting carrier).

So it can move up.

You can pick it up at the Performance Center near the factory. They are currently booked up for the next couple months according to others who have tried to schedule this.

There is an available '23 x45e in northern California. I bought a 45e off a dealer lot yesterday, so my build/order is now available and is showing as left the factory couple days ago. I didn't think the build would be on-time, so I pulled the trigger on another car. I suspect the delivery will make it to the dealer by 12/31. Send me a message if you want details.

I have a week 49 build with 12/5 production date. What's the best guess on when the car will arrive at the dealer in DC area? I'm hoping I can pick up the car 12/9 or 12/10.

You have to purchase and put into service in the year you take the tax credit for.

You should have no problem picking it up in that timeframe unless something unforeseen pops up.

Met CA today, agreed to do 'most' paperwork tomorrow and also to allow my friend to take delivery on my behalf if car doesn't arrive on time.
If car and some CO paperwork from BMW arrives by Friday, I'll be able to take delivery on Saturday.
Eagerly waiting for 12/7 build date now...

I had a 12/7 build date that moved up to today. CA confirmed that a transport carrier was assigned to pick up 12/7 and deliver to the dealer in NY on 12/9 and we will take delivery on 12/10. I’ve told my wife that the car is delayed and not sure if it will be here before the end of year…so will be a nice surprise when it shows up on the 10th!
Very excited for this weekend!!

As a data point…I placed the order 11/7. Switched to Status 150 (“Production Begins”) on 11/17. No changes until 12/3 when it switched to “Entering Assembly Line”. By 12/5 it was completed and car was born.

Same here, and production date was set to today. It actually went to 153 last night around 7-8p PT, but is still in 153 as of now.

We went with Manhattan Green + Cognac. My wife and I decided to “go different” with the green - it looks great in person, and we were tired with the white, black, gray, and blue that we usually have (current car that we are keeping is a metallic gray).

The big debate we had was Cognac vs Tartufo. Ultimately landed on Cognac per advice from our CA and others since we have a toddler and another on the way: less maintenance, and kids will be rough on the leather.
We decided to go with almost every option…Climate, Luxury Seating, Driving Assistance, Parking Assistance, and Executive package.
