2024 LCI Skylounge LED color options
Hey new 2024 X5/X6 owners!
I noticed that the new LCI vehicles have more LED color options in terms of the ambient lighting compared to pre-LCI models. But I’m wondering if that applies to the sky lounge LED roof too? Do you get new colors on the LED roof? Thanks |

Available colors are following.
I have not tried all colors but it looks like roof LED changes to match interior led color. There is no red option within iDrive menu. Pure red interior light is available but only when you change the driving mode to Sport. However, in sport mode, roof LED changes to dark blue. |

I experienced few iDrive software related errors on my car so far, but the car itself is great and I am just waiting to finish 1200 mile break in period before I switch the car to sport mode and do the kick down |

Isn’t it 310 miles for the break in? Mine doesn’t allow me to exceed around 4,500 RPMs till after I reach that mileage.
I’m not sure if the overall power is reduced as well as I only have about 100 miles on it. Have you surpassed the break in period? And if so, how substantial of a difference did you notice? |

1200 mile is still recommended engine break in period. I haven't reached 1200 mile yet. |

Great to see you treat your engine good and run in correctly. So many people say you don't have to. But it's in the manual and I've always when tuned on dyno get higher than normal power.
Worth the rewards. Painful though for the drive to get there. |

I know this isn’t in the subject line but to continue the break-in discussion, what are the rules for the various break-in mileages?
