my knee hit the drop-down storage to the left of the steering wheel

And the little plastic gear no longer engages the slots on the side of the holder so it makes a terrible noise when opening/closing. It works though.

I use this for my wallet and company badge so open it regularly.

Anyone else experience this and know if a fix? I’ve disassembled and reassembled 4-5 times. My fault 100%.

I've hit my knee on it several times, no damage though.
Would like to have a light in it

I just didn't put the little cog back in and left it that way, pretty useless, door opens quicker without it.

I've bashed my knee into it or the light control panel almost every time i enter my vehicle.

Yea, I’d love to find a way to reengage the little gear so it doesn’t make that very unrefined zipper/grind noise when I open/close it.

Probably its a tall ppl issue. Happens if most of u white guys are above 6ft. Lucky me only 5’9”
