Interesting, then why part numbers are identical? I checked by vin for both cars even checked with dealer and they are confirming same modules for both led and laser, so I am getting high beam mulfunction as well after retrofit on my g07, it was bit painful to remove and install the bumper.
Hideada Did you swap your modules as per above op or flashing existing solved the problem? |

Yes, as above OP mentioned, I replaced module with 5CFF and 81CFF (“CF” for laser headlights) oem part numbers are same but module version/identification is different I guess they are on different firmwares.

Does anyone know if part number 63119850445 (FLM-02 MAX) is able to work? I don't see the 5CF/5CFF designation on them but they are marked as laser control modules. Last edited by 9mmkungfu; 02-22-2023 at 10:38 AM.. |

I never really noticed much of a difference in them (besides lasers looking better from the outside). Maybe I just have poor eyesight

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2013108 Just in case someone is interested. I replaced them with the EU version since I will move to Germany with the car. |

I have a question regarding changing the lights in my BMW X5. I have the model, with basic LED lights without the headlight assistant option (but I have the professional assistance systems with active cruise control and autonomous driving capabilities, so I have plenty of cameras in the overhead console). Does this mean that I can have laser lights installed and coded, but they won't have features like road adaptation, illuminating dark areas, cutting out other cars to avoid dazzling them, etc.?
Or, on the other hand, will installing these laser lights and coding them properly allow me to enjoy all the functionalities that these lights offer? Note: I do not have the headlight assistant option, just basic (non adaptive) led lights |
