What is the latest firmware that is available for the x5m? Mine showing 07/2023.53.

Also on that not when you open your doors, do the lights flash red?

It’s seems like an issue on all X models year 24

I have. 11/2023.58 my dealer updated to this version last week after i had an issue with gearbox, while driving it slip from D to N(happen just once) luckly i had 20-30km/h, they told it was due to an software issue

Version i had before was 07/2023.67

Hello it's not an issue that your door ambiant light flashes red, it's to warn drivers behind you that your door is open. Isn't that a neat safety feature?

Thanks, I do know what it does, the issue is it seems like it’s not working on MY24 build on an X models I checked. The function is turned on within the drive but it doesn’t work

Sorry to piggy back on this thread, but does the latest software improve the "Climate menu" in the new iDrive? Trying to figure out whether to stick with a 2023 or jump into a 2024.

What do you mean improve? It’s somewhat redesigned if that’s the question

Can you confirm if door lights flash red when opened? There is an option for that under interior lights that needs to be on

I haven't looked at the list of modules affected yet but they would normally just run the update and whatever is tagged for an update gets updated. Some are firmware and some only coding changes. Some modules don't get affected at all. Depends on the release.

Yes. The OTA is always 4 months (1 major release) behind the dealer version. The releases come out in March, July and November every year.

I recall a reviewer stating that 8.5 cleans up the climate menu. I know very little about the 8/8.5 updates. Can anyone shed some light?

My 2020 with 03/2023 firmware does that now. It's not new.
