IS-F coupe FTW. And btw, that IS a photoshop.
Yes, it is a photoshop that's been around for a while. In regards with Lexus getting flamed, like i have said before, i just don't understand what's with all the hate. BMW's and especially M3's get mostly admiration and praises from most Lexus forums, of course you'll always get some ignorrant morons that will flame for no reason at all but i haven't seen it as bad as this. In terms of looks, that's subjective, you can't blame anyone if they just don't like the way it looks, it's a matter of personal opinion.

You have a point gbb357; Lexus forums are probably the kindest most appreciative out there, and yes, Lexus does take a beating on these forums. I honestly can't explain it.

They are older and fewer Type A personalities.

I doubt it. Most people going to car forums are young car enthusiasts.

Well that is not what many many Lexus owners think.

Actually, in the IS forums a lot of them are in the mid 20's to lower 30's. Many college students and young professionals. I'm probably one of the few exceptions, since i am in the upper 30's. Most are like me, pure car enthusiast that appreciates most if not all cars.

I have no idea why, but the side profile reminds me of the tC.

I'm still amazed at how Lexus doesn't make a manual version of the IS350.

It's not that I think all Lexuses are ugly (although this generation looks a lot worse than the previous generation – I thought the old LS and GS were very classy cars), it's that the new IS in particular has the strangest proportions. There's slants and angles where there shouldn't be, and the car in the front looks like it got stepped on

Nobody would spend so much money to buy a car that they found ugly, especially when there are so many other brands for them to choose from in the market. There are many reasons they do not choose BMW vehicles besides the extremely obvious Lexus' advantages such as reliability and dealer service that you probably choose to completely ignore. Yes you mentioned sportiness as your most important value in a car, but I think you wouldn't buy BMW if it looks ugly to you. Same as Lexus owners, if their vehicles are not super stylish in their eyes they wouldn't buy them. You were describing the Lexus vehicles in general, not any individual model, which I found unacceptable and very very biased. Sure I agree that some BMW models, such as 3 coupe and X5 and X6 and 5 are very very good looking cars, but so are Lexus LS, IS, and RX. And I found 3 sedan, Z4, 6, 7 and X3 not that attractive, as well as Lexus SC, GS and GX. Every car company has something good looking but some failures as well.

I actually like the way the IS looks. The front looks meaner than the 3 series (coupe AND sedan). For those that keep bashing Lexus and saying how it's not as sporty as the 3 series, you should realize that perhaps that's not their intention. Not all drivers want the connected feeling or that heavy steering wheel feel or even that riding on rails feel. As we all know the Supra was one hell of a car and it's still being sought after by many. So I dont think it's that Lexus can't make a car that feels like a BMW, it's just that they simply don't want/need to. After all, there's a reason why Toyota/Lexus are as big as they are and that many companies are still trying to copy them in some ways.

I find it funny how if BMW comes out with something everyone would be like "OMFG it looks hot! ZOMSOMGOAIUJSDA!" and if Lexus comes out with a car everyone here would be like "IS-Fail; it's fugly, lsakjfdk, etc."
