So basically G20 gets a discount version of G05 interior? Minus half of the ambient lighting, minus good leather and materials? Ok

What in the hell is BMW thinking with this bedazzled shift knob? It looks like something that belongs in a Barbie Car SUV.

It’s an option. Don’t like it, don’t order it. Wife and I like it so we ordered it!

Maybe, but BMW took it several notches higher in my opinion. Per the dealer training, the rep told us it is actual Swarovski Crystal and is hand cut by artisans. Because of the curves and cutouts required to make it, it can't be done by machine...it would crack. Not often you see hand crafted things in cars anymore, I think its cool!

FYI, you also get a glass Start/Stop Button, Volume knob, and top of the iDrive controller (touch-pad interface still works on the glass too!). Also the X inside the gear knob lights up with the ambient lighting.

I have heard in one of the Youtube reviews that this is not crystal just glass, and the curves hurt a little bit the palm each time you touch the knob...

Extended cut scenes following this video specifically talk about all features of the knob.

Wow! These are small details but I really like the glass Start/Stop button and the glass shift knob. This new BMW X5 is made for me! Take my money!

Nope, they are crystal. That info is straight from BMW G05 training. I was able to sit in the X5 that had the crystal controls and they are very smooth. Nothing sharp about them at all.

I for one regret that I did not include this option in my build.
