What's this? GPS aerial??

I accidentally clipped off the shark fin cover on my 19' X5, and this square piece (ceramic) fell off. There's still another nearly identical piece on the base (still on the roof). Is this the GPS aerial? Should I just glue it back to the other piece? Thanks!

I suggest taking it to the dealer so they can make sure it is replaced properly. If it leaks it will cause all sorts of havoc with various systems.

I think that antenna assembly has more than one purpose to include gps, cellular, and maybe the Sirius satellite. No idea if it will need to be replaced, or if it can be fixed, or reinstalled.

Thanks - any ideas where I can find a document about this? Tried to search but no luck.
I've seen videos about reinstalling the shark fin so I'm hoping to tackle that myself without water leak concern.

Thanks much Auricom, this is super helpful!

I don't have #5 in the diagram.
For #6, that's what I was referring to. It seems like two ceramic pieces "glued" together. Could you or someone confirm that? I can't find more info regarding how this "GPS aerial" is structured.

Thanks again!

I think there's at least one electrical contact between those parts and if you glue them together, will the contact work?

Yea there are two contacts I think by constrution. The two pieces were put together with black color glue/double sided tape (?) with contacts not being covered.

Updates: I took a closer look at it today and found out the copper pin actually broke. So the two pieces were put together with copper wire running through then there's another contact between the two layers... I haven't noticed any functionality issues. May have to talk to the dealer...
