I’m thinking about cancelling my order, partly due to this extra delay, and partly out of concern at the issues being encountered.

I think the delay is due to the issues they have been having and the fix is now in, waiting for the "new" parts. I would wait for this.

In the end I think the delay is good news as they’ve likely found a solution for the ongoing issues. It’ll be worth the wait. FWIW, the Cayenne eHybrid was delayed for the US market unti Q 1 of 2024. Read all about it on Rennlist.

I don't remember seeing a general issue with the battery pack itself but problems with the cooling valve and charging units are prevalent. That is likely what the OP is referring to.

My dealer confirmed a charging module update was the reason for the delay. Do I have proof… no, but makes sense.

It is highly unlikely your dealer knows the reason when others don't but he could be right.

You never know, they may have just announced something. I just put a few requests in to some of my contacts and will update should I hear anything definitive.

Called Genius again today as they recommended check back in the new year. They have no info on the delay.

I heard back from one and they said they have not heard of any production halt concerning the 50e. He was confused as to what I was talking about. When I explained to him that we are seeing all 50e production being pushed back until March he sent me his list of vehicles on order and there are a bunch of 50e currently in 150 for January production. He said 50e allocations are very hard to come by but they are still being produced.

At this point I'm a little confused as to what is going on. Prior to talking to him, and getting the data, it seemed like it was common knowledge that all 50e production was halted. How can every member here either be pushed back or have a current order with a build date in March if that was not the case?

Interestingly his list, at least what he sent, was all Priority 3's and not priority 1's. The one screen shot of an order that was priority 1 was a March build date.

Add me to the list. I ordered a 2024 X5e in late November and watched the status bounce back and forth without any meaningful update. Spoke to SA yesterday and confirmed that my completion date has been moved to March. Dealer had very little information to share, and I knew significantly more than they did, just based on what is coming through the forums.

Thinking hard about canceling the order, but honestly not sure what else I would revert to--took a lot of planning and cross-shopping across other brands to get this point

I have a priority 1 order that’s pushed back to week 10 (per genius) even though it was previously allocated to week 51.

Everyone on this thread is a Priority 1 and looks like we all have been pushed to Week 10 or later. I had understood Priority 3 are for dealers without orders yet.

Would be great if someone chimes in if their order hasn't changed for next few weeks.

Yes, that is what is interesting. Priority 3's are for dealer stock and generally Priority 1's (customer orders) have priority in scheduling. From the data it would appear that for two months or so that has been reversed. That said, I'm not going to come to any conclusions since those may not be built either.

I was originally told week 51 build. Flipped to 150 status yesterday with a production date of 1/18. Genius confirmed week 3 build. I'll continue monitoring to see if anything changes in the next two weeks.
