For those of you that have recently received your X5, how long did it take between entering status "awaiting carrier assignment" and status "dispatched from factory"?

I just entered awaiting carrier assignment last night and just trying to gauge how long before the transporter leaves the factory to my dealer. Im in the southeast, around 6-7hrs away from SC, so im assuming after the transporter starts the transit that it will only take 1-2 days for them to arrive at my dealer.

My X5 is almost here and I cannot wait!!!

I was in "awaiting carrier assignment" for around 24 hours and hit "dispatched from factory" yesterday. Suspect it should arrive in TX shortly.

Nice! Dont know if anything will happen this weekend, but hoping to get "dispatched" by monday.

Does anybody know what they do during PDI and how long does that take?

How long has it been since you ordered it? I ordered a 50e in late December and is scheduled for production March 11.

There is no set time, sometimes it is hours and sometimes it is a week. It all depends on carrier availability for where it is going. Once yours is dispatched it should take less than a day to get to your dealer.

I ordered beginning of December and was given allocation for January build.

There is no such thing as a trend. It is very variable and depends on many factors. We have seen people built the same day where one waits a day and the other a week. The next week may be totally reversed going to the same destination.

2 days from carrier assignment to dispatched for me. But then it took forever to get to CA and to my dealer.

Update: Took 5 days but status changed today to "dispatched from factory".

Update: 1 day later and its now at the dealership according to the tracker. I have controlled myself all day (it was very hard!) not to give them a call. If I still dont get a phone call tomorrow, then I will have to be the one to initiate the next step. My patience is limited and I can only wait for so long.

Patience? Who has time for that.

I'd call them tomorrow (actually, I would have called today. If status was dispatched yesterday, it's there today.) Sales says they start at 9 am, but most teams have a meeting first thing so I'd wait until about 9:30 to call your CA.

But don't push too hard for a quick delivery. It takes time to make sure everything is right before delivery and they may have a number of cars to process.

I do want them to do PDI the right way. Thats why I held off on calling them. But im just wondering, what do they do during PDI and how long does that usually take? The website updated around 1pm today so im assuming it was delivered before that.

Usually takes a few hours except for the 50e which needs to be charged first.

Keep in mind the tracking is not always accurate. At the dealership is dependent on the trucking company reporting. For one of mine it showed at the dealer on a Saturday morning but it didn't actually get there until the following Wednesday.

Thats quite the gap on that tracker, thats 5 day difference. Good to know that it only takes a few hours, I will call them after lunch and assuming that the tracker is correct, ask them what the plan is to take home my car.

I was at Quality check when I woke up this morning then it flipped to awaiting carrier about 10 AM and then about 2 the dealer messaged me and said the vehicle had arrived at Galveston VDC 😳

He's likely confused, vehicles from Spartanburg do not go to a VDC.
